Axis of the River Elbe with additional buffers for easier computing

The dataset sf.afe_sides_buffered_axis contains the axis of the river Elbe represented as four polygons. These polygons represent buffers of 50 m on both the left and right-hand side of the river axis and the parts of the active floodplain that are not covered by these buffers again split in the parts on the left and the right-hand side of the river.

Usage

sf.afe_sides_buffered_axis

Format

A sf containing 4 polygons with 2 attributes:

side

with values of 1 or 2. 1 indicating that the polygon lies on the left-hand side of the river axis and 2 indicating that it lies on its right-hand side (type integer).

buffer

with values of NA or 1. NA indicating that the polygon is not part of the 50 m buffer around the river axis and 1 indicating that it is (type integer).
